Engineering the Future/ AI

Sunday 11th – Saturday 24th August 2024

This programme is designed to provide students with a strong understanding of Engineering and to give them insights into its applications in the real world.

This programme is designed to provide students with an understanding of Engineering and to give them insights about its applications in the real world. The program broadly targets three domains: theory, applications, and engineering in industry.

Students will learn about Software and AI through introductory lectures and will work towards a coding project. Students will explore the ethics of AI by participating in group debates as well as guest lectures from industry experts.

They will also gain hands-on experience with the Engineering Design Process by designing and building a solution for a practical challenge. This will involve applying skills relevant to engineering companies in the real world, with a focus on sustainability in design.

Finally, students will be taught presentation skills relevant to science and engineering, with the overall goal of encouraging them to think like engineers and apply their skills to real problems.
